What to tell us when you call
A few details help us give you the right advice on the first call and send the right equipment.
- Where the water or damage is, and which floor
- Where it came from if you know: a pipe, an appliance, the roof, a floor drain, the unit upstairs
- Whether it smells like sewage or touched anything electrical
- Roughly how long it has been wet
- Whether you rent or own, and if it is a condo, who manages the building
If water is still coming in
Stay out of standing water near outlets or appliances, shut off the main water valve if you can reach it from a dry spot, and take photos before you move things.
